Magump presents a simple yet powerful magnetic pump designed to function at low frequencies, specifically within the 1 Hz range, eliminating the need for any moving components. Unlike conventional solutions employing magnetic field frequencies ranging from 100 to 1000 Hz, which can result in heating effects due to Eddy current losses, Magump operates at significantly lower frequencies (around 1 Hz), achieving equivalent normalized mass flow rates. This groundbreaking technology not only enhances system reliability by eliminating moving parts but also provides the added benefit of nearly vibration-free operation. The applications span a wide range, from magnetocaloric heat pumps to medical blood pumping, showcasing the versatility and efficiency of Magump’s innovative approach.

The TTT voucher is being utilized to explore the interests from potential customers and make initial assessments. The TTT funding helps at the crucial time in the journey between academic to business space. The results will be used as a foundation to build the case for approaching the rest of the support system and contribute its share of impact to the Dutch economy.
