Ultrasound neuromodulation holds the promise for providing precise and minimally invasive treatments for neurological diseases. However, clinical translation is hampered by the bulky and imprecise existing ultrasound neurostimulator technology. Levearaging on a decade of research in microchip technology and nanofabrication, Neurosonics aims to develop a minimally-invasive and miniaturized ultrasonic neurostimulator, thus providing a powerful tool to the toolbox of physicians.
