Photosynthetic is working on a novel light-driven fabrication technology that allows creation of micro-scale 3D structures at speeds that are several orders of magnitude higher than the state-of-the-art. This technology can enable researchers and engineers around the world to design and directly print customized high-precision filters, scaffolds and microfluidics for a wide variety of end applications. The possible end-applications include: water filtration, blood dialysis, drug delivery, tissue engineering to name a few. Conventional, 3D printing technology simply cannot achieve the resolution required in micro-filtration applications while nano-precision technologies like UV lithography are very expensive and hard to use for direct fabrication of 3D structures.
Photosynthetic has raised pre-seed financing provided by the TTT Medtech Fund, Forward. One and Innovatiefonds Noord-Holland.
