The start of TTT and how to stay involved

The Thematic Technology Transfer programs (TTTs) are moving steadily ahead. Good ideas are being brought to market faster and better with the help of the first two TTTs (Circular Technology and Smart Industry). The next TTTs are already being developed. This mission – into which the ministries of Education, Culture & Science and Economic Affairs & Climate Policy are invested a total of €24 million – will result in an even healthier environment for spinoffs in the Netherlands.

Why this program? For whom? How can you stay up to date?

TTT is a cooperative alliance between the Knowledge Transfer Offices (KTOs or valorization departments) of TNO and the four technical universities in the Netherlands (Delft, Eindhoven, Twente and Wageningen). The knowledge and expertise of these KTOs are brought together and taken to the next level. TTT supports researchers with advice, network access and funding to make the move towards entrepreneurship. With its collaborative approach, TTT efficiently and effectively expedites the practical application of promising research.

We can get more done together

The KTOs have built up years’ worth of expertise. In many ways, the cooperative partners complement each other when it comes to the substantive themes. On top of that, the KTOs can expand their reach and network even further by working together. By combining their strengths, they can give the development of spinoffs a strong impulse even in the earliest phase. The close collaboration with private investors in the program ensures funding is also available to startups during the next phase of their growth.

For whom is TTT interesting and what can it do for them?

TTT has a diverse network that continues to grow steadily. Researchers and young spinoffs find their way to TTT, either directly or via their own KTOs. Furthermore, TTT offers new investment opportunities for e.g. private investors, while businesses can find new cooperative partners with whom they can work together on the development of ground-breaking technologies. An interactive network full of knowledge, technology and innovation that strives to preserve our livable world. A network that realizes impact with regard to themes that matter.

The network and activities surrounding the TTTs continue to grow and more programs will be launched in the future. One example is TTT MedTech, which is designed to help bring innovations in medical technology to market faster. The national valorization network is gaining ground. More and more spinoffs are reaping the benefits of this collaborative approach. We are happy to tell you more about the various TTT activities, how you can make use of our expertise and – of course – about the TTTs’ results.
